StreamEdit Module Announced

Would the ability to substitute and/or delete specific data and commands within a "print" job without changing them at source be useful to you or your customers?

If yes, IDS can provide a software solution that can be seamlessly and cost effectively integrated within your existing connectivity, data processing and output management system.

The software, called StreamEdit (previously Edit), has been produced by IDS's controlling company FunAsset, who have many years of experience in developing solutions for the print production sector.

StreamEdit comes bundled with FunAsset's proven and respected TN Interface hardware and software and can be used to solve a number of print-room problems...

  • Substitute and/or delete DJDE commands without changing the data at source - useful when outputting legacy LCDS jobs to Xerox EPS printers that require embedded DJDE command syntax to be cleaned up.
  • Substitute and/or delete PDL commands without changing the data at source - useful for changing the appearance of particular pages within a job.
  • Substitute and/or delete unwanted characters, strings or entire lines without changing the data at source – useful when outputting jobs that contain out of date information such as telephone numbers or currency symbols.
  • Delete unwanted trailing characters on a line – useful when additional CR, LF or FF commands need to be removed.
