Central Document Control and Localised Printing
Problem
Document templates stored at multiple remote sites result in inconsistent designs, and output that does not adhere to corporate standards. However, local printing and distribution of the documents is a necessity, and storing templates at a central location is deemed impractical or too expensive to implement.

Solution
IDS can implement document composition software on a central server, and configure it so the documents can be accessed for printing from any number of remote locations.

The solution enables a centrally located administrator to have exclusive control over template design and updates, while allowing remote users access to standardised documents for local printing and distribution.

Case Study
A large healthcare organisation was managing and printing customer membership cards from numerous locations around the World.
Each office was responsible for designing, printing and distributing their membership cards. Despite the necessity for local printing and distribution, it was felt a standard template design needed to be controlled and managed at their UK head office.
IDS provided a solution that consisted of a central server and document composition software that allowed staff at head office to design and update templates when necessary.
The solution brought membership card design under the control of a central location, ensuring standards across the globe while still allowing each country to manage their own printing and distribution.
